PRIDE’s Tri-County RESTORE Program funds owner-occupied home emergency home repairs for residents 60 years old and above in Essex, Washington, and Warren counties. We can also assist with mobility modifications that will allow you to “age in place” and eliminate health safety hazards in your home.
Eligible Activities: Grant funds may be used to assist homeowners with completing emergency repairs, or addressing code violations. An eligible emergency repair eliminates a hazardous condition or deficiency that poses an immediate threat to the life, health, or safety of the elderly homeowner. This grant should be used for emergencies and mobility issues, not routine maintenance. Please consider our HOME or AHC grants for rehabilitation. PRIDE reserves the right to deny applications based on not meeting the emergency repair or mobility requirements.
The Program Spending Cap for 2022 is $9,000 and if awarded is $18,000 for 2023.

The Residential Emergency Services to Offer (Home) Repairs to the Elderly (RESTORE) program provides financial resources to assist senior citizen homeowners age sixty and over, with the cost of addressing emergencies and code violations that pose a threat to their health and safety or affect the livability of their home. Program Goal: To enable seniors to continue to live independently in their homes.

Applications will be reviewed for program eligibility on a first-received basis. Applications not funded through this program will be added to the PRIDE’s waiting list, which is based on a first come first served basis, so you want to make sure that you get your completed application in as soon as possible.
